Philip Taylor, aka the “PT” of PT Money, is a CPA, a husband, and father of two. In 2007 he created PT Money as a place to discuss personal finance with like-minded individuals, and now the site is visited more than 400,000 times on a month and more than 5000 people have subscribed to the site’s email list and RSS feed. We would say he has found lots of folks interested in what he has to say!
Philip’s site contains a seemingly endless amount of articles about all things money-related, but two of his most popular posts, 52 Ways to Make Extra Money and 31 Days to Improve Your Financial Life would be great places for new readers to start. After that, subscribing to his site for future articles should be a definite next step.

Over the years of running PT Money, Philip has made television appearances on both Fox and MSNBC, contributed articles to TurboTax, ING DIRECT, and US News, and worked hard to keep his site in the top 25 of Wise Bread’s ranking of the Top 1000 Personal Finance Blogs. In addition, he is the founder of the annual Financial Blogger Conference (FinCon) where money bloggers gather to network and discuss the business of personal finance blogging. The next FinCon will be held October 17-20, 2013 in St. Louis.
